Jack Kregas was born in New England in the northeast of the United States. After a stint in the US Army, he was discharged in Europe and the next forty years were spent skiing and living life to the max as well as creating several successful businesses.

 

Winters in the Alps and summers windsurfing on Maui, Jack departed Switzerland for Maui full time with his Australian wife and small daughter. After five years he moved the family to Australia and became an Australian Citizen.

 

Jack now lives in Brisbane and is retired, writing full-time after his very successful autobiography, It’s All About Me and a few others. He plays golf and travels to participate in poker tournaments or promote his books.

 The Sydney Opera House is one of the most recognizable buildings of the twentieth century. Construction began in 1959 after two years of planning and design. It was opened on October 20th, 1973 by the Queen.

some facts about the Sydney Opera House:

  • Over 7 million people visit the Opera House every year, making it one of Australia’s biggest tourist attractions. About 1.2 million of these attend a performance.

  • The Opera House was designed by Jorn Utzon, an architect from Denmark.

  • The main concert hall can seat almost 2,700 people and contains one of the world’s largest organs – it has 10,000 pipes.
